Bigler AG, based in Büren an der Aare, is specialised in processing of fresh meat. The production process is supported by the UV-C pass-through disinfection system of STERILSYSTEMS GmbH.

The system, with overall dimensions of 3,8m x 1m x 1,5m (length x width x height) has been installed between the cooling room and the production room - this provides a sterile primary packaging of the products. The system is equipped with an inlet and outlet port of 600mm x 400mm (width x height). The system is designed to disinfect packed goods with a disinfection rate of 5 log. The belt speed can be adjusted between 12-18 m/min. In cooperation with Bigler AG, STERILSYSTEMS manufactured an individual pass-through disinfection system according to the process.
